We finally made our way back home after a two-day delay leaving Ann Arbor. As we expected, we were completely snowed in with about 18 inches of snow.
It took about two hours of shoveling, but we managed to clear enough of our driveway to get the car in.
We got dumped on again that night, and by morning we had another 8 inches on the ground. The new snow made for some great scenery around the neighborhood:.jpg)

Later that day the wind picked up. Combined with the heavy snow, it was a bit too much for many of the trees..jpg)
We had quite the symphony of limb and tree snapping accompanying us on our walk. We didn't have anything too large fall in our yard, but did have one tree fall on our neighbor's property next to our driveway, while we were out shoveling. We ended up with over 22 inches of snow on the ground. Snow angels are tough in such deep snow!
