Adventures in the fog

Last weekend was beautifully sunny and warm, so it seemed like a perfect time to go to the beach. Well,we forgot about Bay Area fog...it was sunny everywhere except the beach. We took Bear to Rodeo Beach in Marin (north of SF), where dogs are allowed to run off leash (and boy, were there a lot of them).

Here's Bear patiently waiting for us to finish our lunch...staring at the cheese.

Bear found a twin. Somehow, the dogs couldn't quite figure out where I was throwing the stick (Bear's on the left).

I tried to give Bear a lesson in geology at this outcrop, but I don't think it took...

After some good (but cold) beach time, we decided to head for the Golden Gate Bridge, where it was part foggy, part sunny. In all my years here, I think this was actually my first time walking on the bridge.

Bear had a good time watching the cars go by and looking down towards the water.

We also visited Heath Ceramics, which is where our "nice" dishes are from. They have a factory store in Sausalito, so we had a fun time picking out various serving dishes.
