Gustav hit on Monday, and his power was out until Saturday. (Time to clean out the fridge!) No major damage to his house (just a bunch of fallen tree branches in the yard, but there was some significant damage in other parts of Baton Rouge, e.g. whole trees down like this one next door to his house:
Luckily it didn't fall on the house! For better or worse, our big oak tree fell down years ago (across the road, taking out a light pole and half of a pecan tree and almost taking out a car...yikes!).
